What is a Database? An MS Access database is one centralized file that contains multiple Tables for storing related information which are then connected together by Queries used to search for and retrieve information. Forms are created to make data entry as easy as possible with dynamic Reports ready to summarize data by criteria with just a click. How to Start Just send GS an email with a brief description of your database needs or a list of what information you wish to track (typed or hand-written, either is fine). Include any copies of data entry forms you use today too or outline what you would like to have. Plus, if you are already using other types of files like Excel or Word, samples of these are helpful too. Next Your email will be quickly reviewed and there may likely be a few questions. A mock-up of what your database system will look like, along with a pre-work quote, will be provided. With your approval, GS will build your custom database. When ready, the file will be emailed to you ready to use. You will also receive a one or two-pager on "How To Use Your Database" along with navigation and shortcut tips. Optionally, if needed, we can book a Zoom session for Q&A or training but often clients find that GS Databases are so naturally intuitive, they can just jump in and start using them. Questions?
